Detailed description of Steamboat Golf Club
Steamboat Golf Club is a Semi-Private 9 hole golf course located 6 miles northwest of Steamboat Springs, Colorado on Highway 40.
Steamboat Golf Club opened for play in 1964.
Steamboat Golf Golf Course features water hazards (a stream and ponds) coming into play on all nine holes. On hole #5, a 336-yard, par 4, the stream bisects the fairway midway down the hole and again in front of the green. The fairways are tree lined, so accurate shotmaking is essential. The 9- hole course borders the Yampa River featuring beautiful views of the valley and Steamboat ski mountain.
Par for the course is 35. From the back tees the course plays to 2,913 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 2,359 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 2, a par-5 that plays to 474 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 3, a par-3 that plays to 137 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 4, a 431 yard par-4 challenge and the #2 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Steamboat Golf Club is # 3, the 137 yard par-3.

It is a nine hole Public play course with spectacular views and as well maintained as any resort course. we played it for eighteen holes and it was more fun the second time around.
